Magazines
Please note that the line between a magazine and a highly professional fanzine
is often a thin one – if you don’t find what you’re after,
try looking in the ‘prozine’ section, elsewhere on the site. Postage
by arrangement, depending on buyer’s location, weight of package etc –
but it will probably work out at about 25-50p per mag within the UK.
ANSWER ME! 3 (hugely sought-after third edition of the legendary US mag) £35
ASTOUNDING SCI-FI (these rare mags from the 40s-60s – edited by John W.
Campbell, the author of ‘Who Goes There?’ which provided the template
for THE THING - are an intriguing melange of sci-fi fiction (by writers such
as Heinlen, Asimov, Silverberg etc) and philosophy (sci-fi and beyond), theorising,
etc – many of the ideas explored have not dated, and stretch as far as
J. S. Mill-type examinations of the nature of liberty. Conditions vary but most
are good, especially for their age) 1949: Feb, June, Sept; 1950: Feb, May, June,
